Drupal: IE lädt CSS Stylesheets nicht / nur teilweise - Begrenzung des Maximums beheben

Da hatte man gehofft, dass der IE8 nun endlich Erlösung von den altbekannten Ärgernissen bringt... aber Pustekuchen (haha, Wortwitz... ich hasse dieses Wort!).

Heute bin ich mal wieder auf einen besonders schönen Bug aufmerksam geworden. Sämtliche IE-Versionen besitzen ein Maximum von externen CSS-Dateien, die geladen werden.

Gerade durch die Modularisierung von Drupal kann es hier also zu Problemen kommen. Arbeitet man an einer größeren Seite und benutzt viele Module und eventuell sogar eine Schachtelung von Templates, gerät man über die Grenze und wundert sich, dass die (wahrscheinlich am Ende stehenden und somit bedeutsamsten) Stylesheets nicht verwendet werden.

Die Lösung für dieses Problem ist einfach und bereits in Drupal eingebaut, wenn man es weiß:

Im Menüpunkt "Leistung" (Caching und Co) einfach die Option "CSS Dateien optimieren" aktivieren.
Drupal schreibt dann eigenständig eine große CSS-Datei aus der vielzahl von CSS-Dateien.

Achtung: Es kann sein, dass die von Drupal erzeugte CSS nicht immer aktuell gehalten wird, wenn ihr Änderungen an den CSS-Dateien vornehmt.
Eventuell wird hier ein leeren des Caches oder kurzes deaktivieren der Funktion nötig.
Da ich aber noch keine Zeit hatte das zu prüfen, weise ich ohne jede Garantie darauf hin. Es kann auch sein, dass die Änderungen zuverlässig eingebracht werden.

Textual smileys will be replaced with graphical ones.
Each email address will be obfuscated in a human readable fashion or (if JavaScript is enabled) replaced with a spamproof clickable link.
