Magento updates und Modulinstallationen sorgen für Ärger

Und mal wieder möchte ich euch ein paar Tipps geben um schnell die häufiger bei Magento auftretenden Probleme zu beheben

Fall 1:
Das Menü im Magento Adminbereich funktioniert nicht mehr (keine Aktion bei Hover und Klick)

Fall 2:
Der Shop zeigt nach einem Update nur eine weiße Seite oder Fehlermeldungen vom Server

Grund und Lösung:
Magento Connect setzt teilweise Berechtigungen im Dateisystem falsch.
Funktioniert beispielsweise das Adminmenü nicht mehr, sind falsche Berechtigungen im Ordner "js" schuld.

Das selbe gilt für die index.php des Shops, sowie die entsprechenden Dateien des Adminbereiches, etc.!

Leseberechtigung wieder korrekt setzen und alles läuft!

Textual smileys will be replaced with graphical ones.
Each email address will be obfuscated in a human readable fashion or (if JavaScript is enabled) replaced with a spamproof clickable link.
