TinyMCE mit Open Source Filemanager / Bildverwaltung

Bei dem WYSIWYG Editor "TinyMCE" handelt es sich um ein Open Source Produkt. Er kann unter Drupal beispielsweise in Kombination mit dem universellen WYSIWYG-Modul (http://drupal.org/project/wysiwyg) eingesetzt werden.

Ein File Manager beziehungsweise Image Manager wird nicht automatisch mitgeliefert. Stattdessen werden diese gegen einen fairen Preis auf der Herstellerwebsite zum Kauf als Plugin angeboten.
Die Plugins können als Demo auf der Herstellerwebsite getestet werden und überzeugen sofort!

Für (ggf. nicht kommerzielle) Drupal Projekte, beispielsweise Projekte die selbst Open Source sind, gibt es allerdings auch eine kostenfreie Alternative. Ein Hinweis darauf findet sich in den FAQ von TinyMCE:

In addition, there are two Open Source plugins which accomplish this same purpose. These include IMCE and Ibrowser. Note that these are both released under the GPL, which may not be acceptable for many commercial applications.

Während IMCE ein reines Drupal Modul ist, kann der Open Source "Ibrowser" auch für nicht-Drupal Projekte genutzt werden.

Wir haben uns in unserem Drupal Projekt für die Nutzung von IMCE entschieden. Die Konfiguration nach der Installation ist kinderleicht und innerhalb weniger Minuten erledigt.
Etwas komplizierte Anpassungen wie hier:

sind nicht nötig!

Der Dateieditor integriert sich optimal in Drupal und den Editor. Vielleicht auch ein Tipp für euer Projekt, wenn Ihr mit CCK Image-/Filefields nicht auskommt und Inline Bilder in Panels benötigt?
